A .50 project...

Hey all.. Here I am for my Monday post... I had an interesting weekend... Friday night my hubs took a job from 8pm-4am and Jack had to work so I had the house to myself!!!! So I took full advantage of the solitude and went to Goodwill and then decorated!!!! I found this table for 25.00

Now I'm the only female left in the house and these men of mine were of course  like," It blocks the whole hall!!!" To which I replied... "there it is.. and there it shall stay!!!" Just like Dorothy's ruby slippers.. its not going anywhere!!!! 

I also picked up these frames for .50 and printed out a google image, and for .50 I have fall art...

I was so proud of myself.. I felt like Martha Stewart!!! if you like these frames they are available at IKEA for slightly more than .50.. I think they're 1.50... 

On another topic... I asked my hubsband to take a picture of me today for the blog... he goes, " If you'll stop going to Goodwill every day".. to which I replied, " oh, ok nevermind... I'll take my own picture..." Blackmailing me with my own blog!!! The NERVE!!!!

Gettin Ready for fall...

Hey all.... Its me.. Suzannne... I'm back!!!! Back to school... back to work... back to the blog...
Now.. my three readers out there are all like, "Whatever, if you're going to take this blog so lightly you post stuff like once in a blue moon, forget you!!!! Well I DO have some excuses to give:
1. My phone is practically the original iphone... every time I go to take a picture it tells me I have no storage.... I had to delete a bunch of pics just so I could take the ones I'm showing....
2. I have looked U G L Y I ain't got no alibi!!!! This is the 4th time I've put on makeup since June.... so....yeah....
3. Getting back to the swing of school is like running a marathon with no practice... my endurance needs to get up... Friday I was so tired I was literally crying.... sooooo.... after a nice weekend with my girl Casey celebrating her birthday....

 I am ready to return to Pooka!!!!\ I autumned up my little house this weekend....

I added hooks to this so we can hang coats in the winter:)

Worth the Wait...

Hey all.... I KNOW... where have I been?? Home ... with NO makeup... no showers... just me...  but I go on some blogs and theres nothing good... just a bunch of fluff.... so I wanted to wait until I had something really GOOD to show you... Today is the day!!!! I switched up my whole living room yesterday because I got this...

Right?? could you die??? I could... I have wanted this for about 15 years... Now its MINE... all MINE!!!! So we switched it up.... Heres what it used to look like....

An Unexpected New Show....

Hey friends... Last night I was going through my sad little DVR looking for something to watch until "American Ninja Warrior" came on... I watched "Masters of Sex" (Showtime Sun. 9PM) and this season is ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!! I cannot get a handle on it... its boring..... I end up fast forwarding through half of it.... so I went On Demand to look up my new fave show, "Flip or Flop" (HGTV) and it looks like I've burned through them... soooooooooooo..... I start looking through the dial... got to DIY network.... I find this show that was utterly fascinating and is now my new favorite show... its called, "Texas Flip and Move"...Have you heard of this show???? ok... in Texas, there are areas where I'm assuming were just destroyed by hurricanes and the houses are unlivable/abandoned.... now these are small houses.. not like tiny house nation, but small... like 1000 square feet.... like trailer homes... so these flippers buy the houses for like 500-1000.00.... move them, fix them, and sell them for like 20,000.00 and then MOVE them again to wherever the buyer wants them.... now dont' get me wrong.. this is no "Flip or Flop" where you're getting high end appliances, fixtures, pools, yards, etc... this is a small house.. but the houses do get fixed up and have to pass an inspection... so this is legit.....
I also finished "UnReal" last night.... the finale was good... it was a nice little revenge season ender... knowing theres a season 2 in the works makes it good to see the characters in the place they are... so check out this show... you will NOT be disappointed!!!!

Watching... currently...

ok.... last week I said I was going to see about that show "UnReal" on Lifetime.... This show is like "The Bachelor" behind the scenes supposedly.... ok.. I watched the whole season in a binge.... thoughts....
This is the WORST show in the BEST kind of way... allow me to explain.....
We start with the main character... Rachel....Rachel is the girl who can outdrink any guy... all guys like her because shes a guys girl... low maintence.... looks great with or without makeup... loves sports... blah blah blah... this girl is the WORST!!!! If this is what guys are into... God help us.. this girl is a straight up slut....She has sex with pretty much every guy on the show....  but moving on... so Rachel is the producer of the Bachelor show.. so her job is to wrangle the bachelor...  a British wannabe prince who is only doing the show for a leg up into the winery industry??? ok... of COURSE she has sex with him.. because even though there are 25 other women for him to choose from... SHES the one he HAS to have!!!!
Now.. we also have Quinn... you will recognize her from "House of Cards:... shes the bitter, weathered executive producer with a heart of coal who recognizes this whole thing as just a machine... all the people are props and there is no such thing as loyalty... the goal is for Rachel to turn into Quinn.... will she??? Thats the question.....
We also have the owner of the show.... Chet....you will recognize him from his 2 episode arc on "Sex and the City"... remember him? He had ADD.... ok.. so Chet is the Hollywood exec we've all heard about... coke snorting, masogynistic asshole who can get away with anything because hes... you know... male... so he   comes on the set and starts moving the people behind the scenes like chess pieces much like Rachel and Quinn are moving the bachelor and his women around....
Now... being a fair weathered fan of the actual "Bachelor"... I liked this show... its a good binge watch.... if I had to watch it week by week... I'd probably bail... but all in one meal... good way to waste a night...

Deutschland 83 This show is on Sundance channel... now... I thought it would peak my interest because its all in German and has subtitles.... but its hard because I'm trying to speak German while I'm reading the subtitles....and when I say "speak German" I mean say English words with the sch ending....  Moving on.. this show is about the East German/West German relations in 1983.... its kind of like "The Americans" on steroids.....

Rectify Rectify is on its 3rd season... only 6 episodes... (sob!!) but I LOVE this show!!! We watch for Teddy...Teddy is sooooooooooooooooooo screwed up!!! He doesn't even know how screwed up he is..... its fascinating!!!!!

Now.. I finished the book "The Good Girl" and it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!! I LOVED this book... so I started Mary Kubica's new book, "Pretty Baby"  This book is as good as the first one... Mary Kubica is a local girl from Chicago who writes Chicago as a main character... LOVE her books!!!!

So hopefully you will have some spare time to enjoy these things as summer winds down....
