Today is the 10 day countdown.. 10 days to summer... this guy behind me looks thrilled right.... Today's day in our alphabet countdown... K  K likes to kick... our K? Kindergarten visits first grade!!! Today I get to scare all of those little kindergarteners who will be coming to me next year..... its a rare opportunity!!!! Just think... Three weeks from today... I will be sound asleep at this time....

and based on the description I recieved... HUGE Success!!!!!! Operation grandbaby.... is... a.... go!!!! Did I mention that Mike is in the military so there are military benefits at stake here????? Soooo.. prayers people.. prayers.... Casey can be as warm and fuzzy as a cactus... .so I have asked my mom to intervene with God on Casey's behalf... I think its working....
oh.. on an afterthougtht.. heres me today... Have  lovely Monday....

I now will get retropaid and move over a lane for Masters +20 credit... so...again... we persevere..... At least its Friday... and we are down to 12 days left on th countdown... today's letter... M Mr. M has a munching mouth But more important.. M  is MOVIE DAY!!! its my FAVORITE day on the countdown..(other than A.. Adios First grade) so good news.. Movie Day.. Bad News.. Well operation grandbaby is in full effect!!! Mike and Casey

met each other this morning and sparks were indeed flying!!!!! and girrrrrrrrrrrrllllllllll.. not a minute too soon either... these other teachers in this building are trying to set THEIR daughter up with Mike... as if !!!  These two were brought together by God... so... to quote Elwood Blues, "I'm on a mission from God"...

Well we are 13 days and counting...today is new neighbor day in first grade.. we are down to n on our countdown.. that means we are smack dab in the middle.. and boooyyyyy.. .can I feel it... these kids are ready for summer in a big way... 80 degree days don't help... I feel like a drill seargent these days... but again.. we persevere!!! Well my lovelies.. today is the day... today is the THIRD voting for our contract.. .we either vote to ratify or vote to strike... my predicition?? Vote to ratify... noone wants a strike... people are afraid... the contract is not that good... an added conference, pay freeze, increase in insurance... ughhh.... but we persevere... this is all my prediction.. I will keep you updated... 14 days left to go in this school year...

No love connection...

ok... my entire goal for this day has been thwarted by Mother Nature... I am desperately trying to set up Mike our school security guard seen below with Casey  seen right..

These two would make the cutest little grandbabies for me(one day.. right like not now of course..after college graduations and all that I know)... but Mike isn't at work today... the one day I can get Casey out of bed before noon!!!ughhh!!!!! FOILED!!!! But he will be here on Thursday... the promise of a new day....

1.  What made you decide to become a teacher?

I always felt like school was my home... I went to the same elementary school for 8 years and it was like a second home.. I wasn't necessarily good at school.. like great grades... but I always loved the feel of school... I always LOVED playing school!!!!

2. What has been your most rewarding experience as a teacher?

I think my most rewarding experience as a teacher is realizing how much I can accomplish... Finishing my Masters, my commuinication skills, the camaraderie of my team, being diplomatic... I've changed a lot... and I think I think of myself as strong now and teaching is about 85% of the reason...

 

3. If you were not a teacher, what would you be?

hmmmm.... I don't know.. maybe something in medicine.. nursing is highly intimidating as I seriously don't think I could pass the tests... but maybe paramedic... something fast paced... or maybe a veterinarian.. but again.. could I pass the tests???

No Sleep... No parking lot duty...

Girrrrrrrrrrrrllllllllll... I think I slept about 20 minutes last night... now.not sleeping isn't like a tragedy... but when you are up all night coughing... ugghh...forget it... woke up at 2... coughed until 4... put in for a sub at 4:30.... so... no sleep plus coughing all night... no Mrs.Bruce.... but its ok... my kids need a switch up... a sub won't kill them...I'm hoping absence will make the hearts grow fonder... we'll see.... tomorrow...Jack Brizzle...seen here... will be getting his permit..  so a day of rest is probably a good idea... the next 6 months of him driving will probably work my heart and nerves to no end....

now... to explain my title... Monday is first grades day for parking lot duty... so no parking lot duty today!!!! I'm suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper disappointed.....

Hey y'all.. I didn't hook up with Sharon over at thetinyheart.blogspot.com last Friday because honestly.. I didn't get anything good enough to post.. but not today!!! I got this great dress at Goodwill!!! Now.. the universe is smiling on me because last w/end I bought this dress...

at Salvation Army  for 8.00.. same designer... but I was overconfident in my booty and got a size 10... BIG MISTAKE!!!! my boobs were like squished   it practically took the jaws of life to get me out of it... so... above dress... size 12.. that's my size... boobs should have plenty of room to breathe..
